I had planned to make this into a pillow but it seems too small now...and some of the squares are too fragile to be touched or sat on. I think I'll make a shadow box for it...maybe out of a cigar box with spools for feet.

Congratulations, Amy! I've posted as far as I stitched on my blog today. The past two weeks have been a total bust as far as stitching is concerned - moving and unpacking have been the order of the day.

Amy, your sampler turned out beautifully! I still have a couple more blocks to go... maybe by tonight I will be ready to post a pic of the finished sampler. I do plan to make a pillow from mine. I purposefully did not embellish for that very reason. What is your next project going to be? I need something new to work on.

ReplyDeleteThis is the second of these little square samplers I've seen. Both are just delightful. I am supposed to teach a hand embroidery class in June or July.....something like this would be a good way to break them in without scaring them thinking they're going to do a big sampler. They could choose to do little bits and pieces while I show them various ways to do different stitches. Cyndi
